Nicholas graduated from the International Theatre School of Jacques Lecoq in Barcelona and Paris and the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts – Music Theatre in Perth. He recently underwent Assistant Director Internships with Opera Australia working on Otello, Don Giovanni and The Elixir of Love and at the Coburg Landestheater in Germany on the productions of Madama Butterfly and Der Zigeunerbaron.

 

He is the Artistic Director of ‘Mopoke Theatre Productions’ for which he recently directed The Old Maid and the Thief in the Adelaide Fringe Festival. Other productions directed are Tosca in Melbourne and regional Victoria, plus Cosi Fan Tutte, Suor Angelica and Eugene Onegin for Co-Opera touring regional Australia. Nicholas is also an actor and singer performing Opera, Musical Theatre, Drama, Television and Physical Theatre throughout Australia and the world.    

 

Nicholas joins Lyric for the first time in 2015, co-directing L'heure espagnole & Gianni Schicchi.
