Shane is an accomplished lighting designer having worked extensively with companies such as Keene Taylor theatre project, Not Yet it’s Difficult, Melbourne Chorale, Ranters Theatre, Playbox Theatre, Yumi Umiumare and Strange Fruit. He has a BA Dramatic Arts (Production) VCA from 1994.  Shane sat on the Green Room Awards Association Theatre Companies panel 2014 -2017. Shane is currently an artistic director of Metanoia Theatre with whom he operated The Mechanics Institute in Brunswick 2013 -2017.  Shane is the Venues Manager at St Martins Youth Arts Centre. 

 

Shane is also a writer and theatre maker he recently enjoyed success with an adaptation of Geroge Arnaud’s novel “The wages of fear.” Look out for his next production “Hard Boiled Bush Noir” at St Martins in August.

Shane makes his Lyric debut in the 2018 production of Poulenc's Les Mamelles de Tirésias.
