NICHOLAS RENFREE-MARKS

Nicholas Renfree-Marks is a graduate of the Ballarat Arts Academy [BA (Music Theatre)]. During his time there he relished being a part of a variety of shows including; The Secret Garden (Albert Lennox), Rent (Collins) and Oklahoma! (Ike/Curly Cover). He has recently had the pleasure of working as a contributing artist with Magnormos in Dear World and as MD/keys for Neil Gooding’s The Divine Miss Bette. Nicholas has been co-writing and performing the self devised cabaret Guy Love which he has since performed as part of the Short + Sweet Cabaret Festival (Finalist), Downstairs at Alma's and The Butterfly Club. He played Warren in the Victorian premiere of Ordinary Days. Nicholas has been working with the Melbourne Opera for the last three years (Cosi fan tutte, Fidelio, La Traviata, Madame Butterfly) and Victorian Opera (Maria de Buenos Aires, Magic Pudding tour). Last year saw him perform with the Australian Shakespeare Company, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in Seussical: The Musical as the Sour Kangaroo and as Prince Ramiro in La Cenerentola ( Opera Australia Touring and Outreach). Nicholas has recently enjoyed touring China in a double bill production of La Traviata and Carmen ( Gastoné, Dancairo, Don Josè cover). Nicholas is very excited to be playing his first role with Lyric Opera of Melbourne.
