Daniela Leska (prev. Jedrzejczak) is an Australian soprano living in Melbourne and training with Liane Keegan. Daniela is currently working with The Lyric Opera of Melbourne as Sophie in Massenet’s opera ‘Werther,’ after Beth in Copland’s ‘The Tender Land’ earlier this year.

With an infectiously bubbly personality, Daniela’s passion for Classical singing and her remarkable dedication to the roles she undertakes has drawn her to the attention of the industry and public alike.

Daniela has also worked with the State Opera of South Australia and Co-Opera Inc. (touring Australia, Germany and Switzerland). She holds a Bachelor of Music with first-class honours at the Elder Conservatorium (University of Adelaide) and, with sponsorship, successfully completed a Graduate Diploma in Classical Performance at Western Australia’s Academy of Performing Arts.

Daniela has performed concert repertoire across Australia; sung under the baton of Vladimir Ashkenazy and Brett Weymark; trained in dance; worked with directors Stuart Maunder and New York’s Chuck Hudson; and learnt from Malcolm Martineau, Anthony Legge, David Harper, Glen Winslade and Opera Australia’s Renato Fresia.

Daniela is the recipient of a JUMP Mentorship with Sharolyn Kimmorley AM, to prepare the role of Zerlina; two George Boland scholarships and a 2013-14 ArtStart grant, working with the Goethe Institute, the Alliance Française de Melbourne, Bourby Webster and designer, Kane Baker.
